Last weekend, my girlfriends and I decided to go to Pismo Beach and visit Hearst Castle. Although, we wish we were at Coachella; we wanted to do something different this year. My best friend, partner in most crimes and sister from another mother, Jessicka and I decided to do a photoshoot in Hearst Castle since we both designed our dresses, share the love for fashion, dressing up, going on lots of adventures, laughing and blogging. We both used printed medallion fabrics. I made a high low, long sleeve, V-neck dress and she made a bell sleeve, lace up shift dress. We had so much fun doing this shoot and this may be just the beginning of our many duo photoshoots together! If you haven’t checked out her cute little blog, you should do so at https://fashionplayhouse.wordpress.com What do you think of these looks? If you would like to see us in other themed outfits, definitely let us know! 😉

Cherry Blossom Festival

Every year there’s a few different Cherry Blossom Festivals all over the United States. I went to the one in Monterey Park and although there weren’t any more cherry blossoms currently in bloom, I actually ended up having so much fun more than I thought. There’s live entertainment, arts and crafts section, food booths and crafts vendors. For this event, I decided to bring Coco and make a kimono for her and me. My friends and I got a taste of the Japanese and Japanese American culture through a first-hand experience of watching traditional Japanese dancing, hearing the resounding beats of the taiko drums, observing the mastery of martial arts and learned how to make flower arrangements.

What’d you think of Coco’s kimono? If you have other suggestions that you’d like to see her in, let me know. Happy Friday and Happy Earth Day!!

Flowers & Sunshine

This weekend is probably one of the hottest weekend we’ve had in a while. Therefore, my girlfriends and I decided to dance around the flower fields at Carlsbad Ranch. If you have not gone yet; you definitely should visit before they close it soon. It’s a beautiful 50 acres of different flowers in bloom filled with life, color and happiness. For this adventure, I made a floral lace top fit and flare dress to match the flowers.

Happy Friday!!! With Coachella beginning today, I put another festival themed outfit together. I made a printed stripe matching kimono crop top and a midi skirt.

Fringe Fest

Designers from New York to Paris — Valentino, Christopher Kane, Louis Vuitton, Antonio Marras, Issey Miyaki, Barbara Bui, Prabal Gurung embrace the playfulness of fringe for spring, giving hemlines, bodices, sleeves — making it bohemian, tribal or Western. Because of this undeniable trend and Coachella being around the corner, I was inspired to make a full on outfit with fringes. I made a kimono top with fringes, crop top with trims and a tight fitted asymmetrical skirt with fringes. To get the whole Western feels, www.alwayspangra.com and I had a photoshoot at Joshua Tree this weekend.

For The Love Of Coco

One of the reasons I may want to have kids someday is just so I can dress them up! Haha. So I thought why not start now? Yes, I will most likely end up being one of those crazy dog ladies.. but what’s wrong with that? 😉 I’ve decided start making dog clothes for Coco and here’s a preview of what’s more to come. I’ve partnered up with http://pascuaportraits.com to shoot my matching floral dress with Coco at the Conejo Valley Botanic Gardens where they have beautiful wild flowers blooming all over the place.

Sunset Daze

So if there’s one thing you should know about me (if you don’t already know) is that I LOVE Taylor Swift. This statement normally makes or breaks every friendship I have. Teehee. I absolutely love her music, talent, realness, humor, squad and her taste in fashion. With that being said, I was inspired to make a similar mustard dress that she wore on her “Wildest Dreams” music video. I originally wanted to do this photoshoot at the Sand Dunes in Death Valley; however, we couldn’t find them. So we took photos at Zabriskie Point during sunset instead; which actually ended up working perfectly.
