I’m not sure if it’s ever since I’ve dreamt of being a fashion designer or when I first watched Coco Chanel’s documentary or the movie, Marie Antoinette or Anastasia was when my obsession with Paris first started. Endless Summer Photo Meet

Hi friends,

A few weeks ago, my best friend and I hosted our second photo meet up at the Venice Canals in Venice Beach. Here’s a preview of some of my favorite shots by our huge photography community in Los Angeles. A Photomeet is a meet up event normally hosted by someone of a few people who gathers photographers, models, creators, influencers to create content, collaborate and magic together. It’s a great way to network, meet new friends, make different connections and get to know your city a little bit.

For this meet, we wanted to host it at the Venice Canals as there’s something about the canals that are beautiful and majestic.

How To Get Invited To Influencer Events

Hi Friends,

If you are wondering how do I get invited to influencer events, soft opening, fashion shows, wine festivals, or store openings, here are the easy steps how.

  1. Make your bio double work for you – include your email address + make your profile a business profile on instagram, where brands or PR can email you with a touch of a button.
  2. Always tag places you go to – on your insta stories, on your posts, tag, tag, tag + also mention them! You have a higher chance being invited back. You have no idea how many times I get to go to free festivals just because I engaged with a city or a brand out of nowhere. Also, PR and social media managers actually go through these tagged photos and check out the latest people that were in there – and that’s how they find you.
  3. Dont be shy! – continuously put yourself out there and do what you’re mean to do. Share what you’re most passionate about and talk about it. Brands that are aligned with your goals will see this and will be attracted.
  4. Create high quality content – once you get invited to your first free event, create high quality content and email back the PR or brand that invited you. You have a higher chance on getting another event in the near future vs. just showing up.
  5. Manifest + find your circle – talk about your goals constantly, write them down and tell your circle of friends or find your people that has similar goals than you. Make new friends if your current friends now don’t have the same goals as you. As you make more friends, your network get bigger which leads to more opportunities and events.

Hope this helps! Would you like to hear more about influencer tips in my blog? Please let me know in the comments below.

How this interior stylist and blogger is juggling her career and “passion project” and shares her do’s and don’ts along the way

Who are you and where are you from?

My name is Katherine, I am an interior stylist and blogger.  I am from Pittsburgh, but recently moved to Raleigh, NC!

What is your brand about and what made you start it?

My brand, My Eclectic Grace, encompasses a lot of things. I started it because I was struggling with all my creative pursuits; writing, content creation, photography, art, and interior design..I wanted to put it all into one thing and I wanted to reach a lot of people, which is how the blog was created!

Do you have another job outside of being a (blogger/influencer/entrepreneur)?

I work for a start up interior design company, Modsy. I have been a stylist for them for a little over a year.

Is it difficult to balance your work life and passion project(s)?

Because my work and my “passion project” go so hand in hand, it really has been an easy balance and transition! Of course I always wish there were more hours in the day to do more, but i’m lucky that I have the job I do.

What do you love the most about being an influencer?

I love getting to meet so many people! I am quite introverted, so making friends is challenging for me. I’ve made so many amazing friends through blogging and with Instagram, and they are friends that I actually hang out with now on a regular basis!

What do you think is the hardest thing about being an influencer?

I think it’s an untraveled path. There is no guide book. You can’t go to school and learn how to do it..you’d have to take business classes, marketing, photography, communication, journalism..I mean it encompasses it all and most people do not understand that.

That is awesome! Have you taken these classes yourself and how did they help you as an influencer?

I have not taken any classes like that, my degree is in interior architecture, so all of my classes were art based! I have taken a few Instagram strategy classes. I just finished Cynthia Harpers and it was by far the best investment for my influencer platform.

What are three tips you can give to someone who also wants to be an influencer like you?

I would say that it’s going to be challenging at first, but you will learn every day. It’s a lot of trial and error..and most importantly, don’t go it alone. I ask for help all the time, wether it’s someone proof reading my blog, asking for a shoutout on Instagram or having my fiancé help with taking pictures!

LOL. Yes, having a finance that takes pictures is definitely awesome. Can you talk to us more about shout outs on instagram? For readers that don’t know what that means, how does that work? Also, can you share a few things that DID NOT work for you? This might help some upcoming influencers to not make the same mistake!

Shout outs are when you tell your followers about another account. For instance I will share a few photos from an account I admire and why I like them and why my followers should check them out – in turn they do this for me (most of the time!) It’s a prearranged thing – I always reach out to these accounts first to talk it over. It gets you seen in front of a whole new audience – but if it’s in your niche then it’s even more powerful. Things that DID not work for me was copying. And I don’t mean I copy and pasted others, I mean that I used to look at others and how they edited photos, what they talked about, how their bio was set up and would do the same thing. I didn’t carve out an identity for myself and that was not healthy – you have to be authentic and confident in who you are and what you’re promoting or you will get sucked into the rabbit hole of social media!

What are your goals and where do you see yourself a year from now? & where do you hope to be in 3 – 5 years?

My goal is to make this my full time career. I want to start a family in the next 3-5 years, so I want to be established by then. It’s a great career for flexibility and creativity!

Sounds like an amazing goal! What kind of niche are you thinking and what’s your focus going to be?

My niche is DIY and home decor. I through in a little lifestyle and hope to do more of that as I get established.

Who/what inspires you or keeps you motivated to do what you do?

It’s not so much who or what motivates me, it’s more the feeling of being on the other spectrum. I had a 9-5 for years, and I felt like it just leeched creativity from me, and my time was not my own. Doing what i’m doing, I’m able to travel whenever I feel like it, and it’s me who choses how high I rank. The only limit it myself!

What’s your favorite app aside from instagram?

I’ve recently become really interested in photography and editing. I downloaded Lightroom and have been playing around with it a lot!

What’s your next project and how can we support you?

I don’t have anything big coming down the pipeline – this time of year I like to be gracious with my time and take it easy. After the new year however, I will be starting a new business with my fiancé, and we are really excited about that!

That’s so exciting! Can you tell us a little bit more about your business with your fiancé?

I wish I could say more, but it’s a surprise for everyone! All I can say is it has to do with coffee! 😉

How important is it to you to make genuine connections/friendships through social media/in our industry & why?

It’s extremely important. I am a firm believer in being authentic and genuine..I can not relate, nor really communicate with people who are doing this for the wrong reasons. I’m all about supporting others and community over competition.

What does female empowerment and girls supporting girls mean to you?

It’s everything!! Especially in this field, jealousy is real. But when you support other women in their pursuits, you push that positive energy out into the world. It makes a difference.

Why Networking Is So Important As An Influencer

Hi Friends!

It’s a Thursday morning in the city of Los Angeles and it has been a while since I personally shared influencer tips! For today’s topic, I wanted to share why networking is important. A few months ago, I started Influencer Girl Gang  so that girls all over they world can collab, create together and learn from each other. Since it started, we’ve had two meet ups in LA and one in OC. It is my dream to host more meet ups in other locations all over the US or have other megababes join me and host their own meet ups!

As an influencer, it’s kind of expected of us to influence people – and we can do that by networking! Yes, social media may be your first platform of influence but wouldnt it be nice to also do it in person?

Not only does networking bring us out of our comfort zones, but it helps us be confident with ourselves. Like phew! I remember going to my first networking event and I was so nervous but I came out of it alive and to top it all of, I even made new found friends!

Another benefit from networking is we get to learn from each other – are you new to the influencer world? No worries! We got you! You have questions about usual rates? Pitching or how we work with brands? We can give you some tips in person! I dont know about you but sometimes it’s so much more comforting to hear an advice from someone in person, you build a better connection.

It’s also good for projects! Fortunately, I have an amazing circle of girlfriends who also enjoy taking photos that I can sometimes as to shoot with me or work on projects with me. But they’re not always available so if you have more connections – you have other people you can collaborate with and more brains are better than one!

One of our goals next year is to start hosting actual themed photoshoots so we can create content together! We are so excited about this.

Last but not the least – it can lead you to an actual job or opportunity. There’s been countless times that I went to a networking event and I met someone who led me to a job opportunity, which is super cool because if I never went to that networking event – I wouldnt have gotten that offer!

Hope this was helpful to some of you! So if you havent gotten a chance to network yet – hope you get yourself out there or join us – we have a free -> facebook page where we have open discussions, invites to events and boosts each others engagement. Will I see you there?

How Jen Made Her Freelance Bizz Her Full Time Gig Along With Travel Blogging

Hi Babes,

For this week’s Influencer Tips Thursday, we are learning so much from Jen & how she managed to make her freelance bizz now her full time gig along with travel blogging. She has so many insider insights, so let’s get to it!

Who are you and where are you from?

I’m Jen, a freelance copywriter, social media manager, and travel blogger. I’m originally
from Michigan (shout out to all my Midwesterners!) and I’ve been living in Los Angeles
for the past 10 years.

What is your brand about and what made you start it?

My brand is a combo of my professional freelance work and my blog, Jen on the Run. I
started my freelance writing business about a year and a half ago, and I’ve been
blogging for about six months. I have been writing for a long time, but never for myself –
it was always for college assignments, former bosses, or clients. Last spring, I attended
the 3-day conference, ALT Summit in Palm Springs, which opened my eyes to the world
of blogging. I realized I could combine my love of writing with my love of travel by
blogging. All the tools were within my reach, so why not go for it?

Do you have another job outside of being a (blogger/influencer/entrepreneur)?

Yes – the work that I do for clients as a freelancer – but I tend to marry these two paths,
since blogging, social media management, and writing all involve complementary skills.
When I was previously working in PR for a firm, I used to say that my freelance
business was my “side hustle.” Now, my freelance biz is my full-time, 9-5 job, and my
blog is how I like to spend my spare time!!

Is it difficult to balance your work life and passion project(s)?

Surprisingly, yes. It might not look like it from the outside though, because I work from home. So many people (myself included) think that they can accomplish ANYTHING if they just didn’t have that commute, long hours at another job, or school assignments… the list goes on. The reality is that it’s just about time management.

What do you love the most about being an influencer?

I love having the opportunity to share, and I love having the opportunity to listen. I like
understanding what people respond to and what people don’t, learning from that and
always growing. I have always sought ways to reflect and achieve personal growth, and
running a blog and being an influencer is a great way to practice that.

What do you think is the hardest thing about being an influencer?

The weight of words. Typing anything and publishing it online means it could be there
indefinitely – as long as the website is still up. I think traditionally, people have put a lot
of weight on having their words in print, but print has a shelf life. A blog or an online
article doesn’t.

What are three tips you can give to someone who also wants to be an influencer like you?
1. Just do it. I spent so many years fixating on what my Instagram feed should look
like or what niche I wanted to be in. Really, just get started. Don’t worry about
being perfect. That’s just the thing – everything evolves. You learn and grow.
Whatever is “perfect” today will be even “more perfect” six months from now.

2. Don’t be shy. This is a tough one for me. Own it, and don’t worry about bragging.
It’s not bragging. It’s you sharing something that someone else might find
genuinely useful or beneficial. I used to think that pitching myself meant I was
stuck up and full of myself. Now I realize pitching is an essential tool in order to
get yourself and your message out there.

3. Sign off. Really, I need to follow this advice myself. Most days I feel like I’m on
my computer or checking my phone from 8am – 11pm. But if you’re already
working from home, why not go for a 30-minute walk? I have to remind myself of
this constantly.

What are your goals and where do you see yourself a year from now? & where do you hope to be in 3 – 5 years?

Right now, most of my business is fueled by the services I offer as a freelancer; writing
and social media, and my blog is my creative outlet. I love working with clients,
understanding their needs and business goals, and working hard to share mission with
their audience. Similarly, I’d like to accomplish that with my blog and learn how to
monetize it better. Ideally in 3-5 years, I’d be in a place where I’m balancing both.

Who/what inspires you or keeps you motivated to do what you do?

Really, it’s my followers. The people who leave comments on my Instagram and blog
posts, open my emails and follow me back. It really makes my day when someone
shares their genuine thoughts on something I’ve written. That’s why I keep going.

What’s your favorite app aside from instagram?
Pinterest, of course!

What’s your next project and how can we support you?

Right now I’m really working on getting my emails up running. I’d love it if you signed up for my email newsletter! I even have a couple freebies right now – an ultimate packing list for anywhere in the world and also 15 inspiring writing prompts.

How important is it to you to make genuine connections/friendships through social media/in our industry & why?

I think the beauty of our modern digital age is that it has opened up a lot of doors. Now, connecting is as simple as sending a DM or leaving a nice comment that might just make someone’s day. I’ve met up with other influencers I’ve met online, and really can’t believe how easy it is to just reach out, message someone, and then there you go – you have a new brunch bud. I believe everyone has something to offer, and the person next to me knows more about something that I do. Why not strike up a conversation and learn from them?

How She Became An Influencer + How Important Authenticity is.

Hi Babes,

For this week’s Influencer Tips Thursday, we are learning so much from Camly on how she became an influencer & how important authenticity is! She has so much insider insights so let’s get to it!

Who are you and where are you from?

My name is Camly, and I’m a Vietnamese American who is LA born and raised.  My parents are both refugees from the Vietnam war, and my dad was a POW so the Vietnamese part of me is near and dear to my heart.  I graduated from UCLA so I’m a Bruin through and through.

What is your brand about and what made you start it?

My brand is just me, Camly. The crazy thing was it was my personal Instagram; I wasn’t necessarily looking to build it into a brand. I think one thing I realized was being myself and also wanting to break the mold of what a “influencer” should be was important to me. I want people to see my account, and see themselves. I want girls to see a normal, average height, average sized girl doing extraordinary things and know they can be that too.

Do you have another job outside of being a (blogger/influencer/entrepreneur)?

By day I’m a data analyst for a nonprofit in DTLA, called LA Promise Fund. I love my full-time job because it always allows me to keep perspective of life and what’s going on. I work with youth in South LA who’ve had to experience more life in some ways than I have. Its a constant reminder of the change I want to be able to make. I’m fortunate enough that my job allows for flexibility, while still feeding my soul to help others and make a difference.

Is it difficult to balance your work life and passion project(s)?

Of course, if it was easy everyone would be doing it, but I think the best things in life don’t come easy. They require commitment, sacrifice, and drive; at the end of the day I see the hard work as always worth it. I want to see how far I can push myself, how much I can do, what my limit is; there’s no better time to do that while I am in my 20s without kids or a marriage. Being able to explore these things has also redefined those goals; I actually think about whether I want a traditional family. My passion project has redefined what I’m passionate about. I’ve thought about adopting, about starting my own company. It is difficult hold that down while still working full time, but without doing both I don’t think I’d dream as big as I do. I don’t think I would have experienced what I have. I’m grateful that its been a roller coaster; where I’ve dealt with health issues that put me on bed rest post surgery for 2 months. It all gives you perspective about what’s important, and also what really matters to you.

What do you love the most about being an influencer?

That I have the power to make a difference; whether thats promoting a brand I love or sharing about something I care about. The term “influencer” means you have influence, and at the end of the day we are all “influencers”. I love being able remind every single person who crosses my path that. I’m not “special” or “unique”; I’m like you but took my influence and ran with it so you can too!

What do you think is the hardest thing about being an influencer?

I think its the idea that my feed is my real life, and yes it is, but I also want people to know I’m a real person. I think so often people don’t see all the behind the scenes, and do share some of that but Instagram is a highlight reel. I do my best to be real, but I don’t share every moment.  Like everyone else I have a private life; in many ways I’m an open book. But, I want people to know that influencer’s feeds aren’t every part of them; its a filtered down reality.

What are three tips you can give to someone who also wants to be an influencer like you?

1) You are already an influencer. OWN THAT! KNOW THAT!

2) Be open to networking. Meet people from all walks of life, and see where that can take you.

3) Collaborate! This is a space that is meant to work with people so you’re not on your own. Bring people along for the ride.

What are your goals and where do you see yourself a year from now? & where do you hope to be in 3 – 5 years?

In a year from now I hope that my brand has grown, but I don’t necessarily have a specific goal. I want to be open to whatever happens at some point I’d want to start my own company, but I don’t want to put a timeline on that. I think we so often set these goals, and when we don’t meet them we think we failed, but thats not failure its a learning process so who knows if in 5 years my company will be up in running. No matter what I hope to still hold true to who I am, and make an impact, empower young women, and love where I’m at.

Who/what inspires you or keeps you motivated to do what you do?

My parents are one of my biggest inspirations. My dad started his own business here in LA, ran it for 23 years, and came here as a refugee and POW without any money to his name. If my dad can beat all odds, what’s stopping me? Gives me so much perspective, and the kids I work with on a daily remind me that we need to change society. If I don’t keep fighting how are things going to change. They deserve better, we deserve better, this country needs better!

What’s your favorite app aside from instagram?

Oh that’s so hard…can I be honest I don’t use many apps. I’m pretty low maintenance on apps because I want to be in the moment and a not always locked to my phone. However, GoogleCalendar is my best friend! Its how I keep track of every collaboration, every lunch meeting, and every workout session. It keeps me organized and allows me to share with friends too!

What’s your next project and how can we support you?

I’m working on building out my website. IT’S NERVE WRECKING as I took on the task on my own, but I would love any guidance I can get. Also shout out to WEOSH! I’m working closely with them to launch workshops, events, and simply opportunities to empower other women so check us out and come along for the journey.

How important is it to you to make genuine connections/friendships through social media/in our industry & why?

It is so important. I am fortunate to specifically have a girl gang I LOVE, and they truly support me and back me up. Its hard when sometimes others tear you down, and without that love and support you can get lost in the industry. In addition I love being able to mentor women; I’m so young and have so much to learn, but those mentor figures in my life have kept me sane. Trust me…I have had my moments of insanity so its important for others to keep you grounded.

What does female empowerment and girls supporting girls mean to you?

It means you are genuinely supporting other women; its not competition. When one women gets a deal, a campaign, or a promotion its a win for all women. One more step closer to even the playing field for women kind. It means setting aside your opinions to truly love without expectations; so often society pits us against each other. WE GOTTA LOVE EACH OTHER, SUPPORT EACH OTHER, and BE HAPPY FOR EACH OTHER.

5 Ways How To Stay Creative

  1. Slow down. – Often times, I get my biggest “AHA MOMENTS” while I’m either driving, taking a nice long bubble bath, reading a book or journaling. With all the constant distractions & our never things to do list – our right brain often has a difficult time popping up with the next genius idea because we never give it time to rest & destress.
  2. Consume knowledge. – Do you know what’s the one thing that geniuses all have in common? They are all obsessed with learning – consuming knowledge, asking questions, always curious, reading books & taking chances. If you want to be amazing at whatever field you’re in — then do a lot of research about it. One of the best tools I like to use now is Google. Want to start a podcast? Google how. Want to learn about photography? Google how. Want to learn how to paint? Google how and once you find different ways to start what you’re passionately curious about – read & consume a lot about what you want to be a bad ass about! Did you know how many books an average CEO read per month? About 4 or 5. Want to be the next CEO of your dreams? Maybe it’s time to start reading how to get there. Our ideas has to start from somewhere and the more we learn, the more we become more knowledgeable.
  3. Break It Down. – Once you’ve done all your research – let’s do our break down and start a plan of action on how you’re going to be the next best thing. Jot down your plans and make them happen. Study the structure how others have done it before & practice & practice & don’t stop. Even if you fail the first time – don’t stop. Michael Jordan, one of the Greatest Basketball players of all times once said, “I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life and that is why I succeed. Obstacles don’t have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don’t turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it. I can accept failure, everyone fails at something. But I can’t accept not trying.”
  4. Imitate & Recreate – Now that you’ve been practicing how to do your thing & hopefully have learned how others have done it & succeeded – it’s now time to imitate how they do things & even recreate their work. I’m not saying just copy everything – add in your flair and what makes you unique. Now that you know that rules – you can now break them.
  5. Don’t stop creating even when you don’t feel like it. – I recently have been feeling like I was in a “creative mental block” – like I just can’t get myself to do things that I used to love before or I simple don’t feel inspired. And you know what I did? I put on one of my favorite TV shows “Once Upon A Time” and started creating & sewing again. Yes, I forced myself to sew. This show reminded me my dreams of wanting to be a costume designer. So even when I was at my lowest, I pushed myself to just create and before I knew it, all my creative juices just started flowing.

How To Create Content + Make It Work With Your Lifestyle

A few of the questions people ask me are: how do you create content? how do you know what people like? or what will attract more followers?

So for today’s segment of thursday’s influencer tips & tricks, I wanted to share all the answers to those questions.

When creating content, I always go back to what I represent. So before you create your content ask yourself these few questions:

  1. What is your blog about?
  2. What is your niche? Have you found it yet? If not, it’s time to define it.
  3. Who is your target market & why?
  4. Why do you do what you do?
  5. Are you willing to put in work and time to create brand new content all the time?

If I answered these questions, this would be my answers:

  1. What is your blog about? Made With Joy is a fashion, lifestyle + adventure blog who features the latest fashion trends, travel destinations and insider influencer tips and tricks.
  2. What is your niche? Have you found it yet? If not, it’s time to define it. My niche are millennials who love fashion, traveling and who just wants to live their best life. They like going to festivals, wine tasting, the newest adventure around the corner or going to road trips. They are very artsy and creative and love life and adventuring. They’re always looking for the next thing to do with their girl squad or with their significant other.
  3. Who is your target market & why? My target market are females between ages 21 – 35 who wants to live their best life and are tired of their 9-5 job, that just wants to escape and create the most out everything. And I am here to teach them how they can achieve that and how it is possible to live that kind of lifestyle.
  4. Why do you do what you do? I do what I do because I love girl power + female empowerment and how important it is to pursue our passion + also live our dreams out loud at the same time. I am here to inspire others that it’s possible and I may not be where I want to be yet but I’m on my way there.
  5. Are you willing to put in work and time to create brand new content all the time? Yes, absolutely.

Now your turn! After you answered all those questions. It’s now time to jot down your plan of action. Let’s get to it.

  1. Scheduling is key. What does your busy schedule look like? Are you super swamped that you don’t even have time to create anymore? Or be inspired? So get to scheduling. Schedule some “alone or me time” in your week. Then schedule your create content time, and your editing time and your having fun time and your family and friends time. Do what’s best for you and what will make you happy.
  2. Start saying “NO” and mean it. Do you even sleep? And eat? Do you take care of your body? Your mental and emotional health? I’m here to remind you that an unhealthy body/mind is useless when it comes to creating. If you’re physically, emotionally, and mentally drained – how do you think you’ll have the time and energy to create? Maybe it’s time for you to start saying “no” to partying every friday night with your girls or brunch every sunday. I’m not saying to give up on your social life but definitely be smart about it and who you’re spending your time with and why.
  3. Make creating content a part of your lifestyle. Once you have done those first two tips – it’s now time to look in your planner/calendar and start making creating content a part of your lifestyle. You almost have to live and breathe it. Always carry your camera with you or your phone. For example, I went to Vegas last weekend for my grandma’s 80th bday and while I was there I got to shoot for a beauty brand and a partnership with a hotel. Although, I still spent a lot of time with my family, I squeezed in a few photoshoot sessions (which by now my family has been very supportive of me and understanding) I used to be embarrassed when I was first starting but now it just comes naturally to me. I don’t even have second thoughts. I just do it. It’s all about changing your mindset, rewiring and training your brain and making it happen.
  4. Be organized, resourceful and be bold. Jot down all your ideas and find a way to squeeze them in your everyday life. Be intentional about it. Are you a food blogger? Start making your portfolio and visit a few restaurants + cafes. Once you have enough content, maybe you can now start pitching. Are you a fashion influencer? Every time you go to an event that you have to dress up or just simply look pretty, wear a fabulous outfit and ask your friends or even strangers to take photos of you! (I’ve honestly done this and it paid off. The first time I visited NYC, I woke up early to adventure on my own and it started snowing!!! I have never seen snow fall from the sky before and I totally asked a stranger to take a video of me twirling!) Was I embarrassed? Not really. I hesitated at first but I did it anyways as I’m never going to see him again.
  5. Get out of your comfort zone. Are you an introvert who’s afraid of what people will say or think about you? Let go of that mindset and do something new. Take risks. Talk to strangers. Ask for help. Until not caring so much of what other people think of you no longer bothers you. As an influencer, it is very important for us to try something new in order for us to influence others. Are you an extrovert who’s the life of the party and cant seem to get it together? You have so many ideas but you can never find time to make them happen. (This is me) So here’s my tip! Find your quiet place (whether you set some time aside like waking up an extra hour to plan your day or a beach day once a week) and write down your goals, ideas and plans and make them happen. Do the first 4 steps above and once you’ve done those – make things happen! Stop just talking about it and actually put in the work.

Influencer Essentials And Why You Need Them

As a blogger/influencer, it’s very important to carry the right things in order to be successful in what you do. A few of the things that I need the most are all in my High Sierra Backpack. I love that it includes a matching zippered accessory pouch, has side pockets, a core organizer with multiple pockets and key fob, adjustable drawstring closure and a place where you can put your tablet inside and that it’s water resistant!!!

Here’s a sneak peek of what’s actually inside.

  • an extra outfit
  • an extra pair of shoes + accessories

(it’s always to great to bring extra outfits so that you can make use of your time and place that you’re currently shooting in)

  • props (i personally love bringing props when I have photoshoots)
  • a mirror (i also always bring my long mirror in my car so i can see what i look like as i change from head to toe)
  • a laptop (when i have more time, after shoots, sometimes i get really excited and i like to edit right away.
  • a professional camera with a tripod (whenever, I’m not with a photographer – its great to have a tripod so you can always take photos of yourself)
  • bliss world lotion – a cult favorite moisturizer that’s rich & quick absorbing, leaving skin smooth and never greasy! – living in Cali – it’s so easy for us to get ashy (and you do not want to look ashy in your pics! TIP: if you can eliminate as much photoshopping in your photos later on – the better!
  • hcxo sleep mask – believe it or not, i actually need this as being on the road all the time, i sometimes have a hard time sleeping. It is made of 100% silk, the softest, most breathable sleep mask you’ll see me wear.
  • almay goddess gloss – i love bringing different colors of these with me because they keep my lips moisturized, smooth and never sticky and they’re made with pomegranate, raspberry and grape oils.
  • garden of life – if you know me, im always hungry! New GōL Bars are organic lifestyle bars that are made with just 8-to-10 simple whole food ingredients. I also love that it’s high in protein and fiber with no added sugars.

The pier house

For the past seven months, I have been one of those people who take the pandemic very seriously and have tried my best not to go out or dine outside due to safety precautions. However, when I was invited by The Pier House to dine in their patio right in front of Venice Beach, I… Continue reading →
